Course Description

This course provides an introduction to OSHA and EPA regulations and covers the identification of common hazards and how to prevent accidents. Participants will also learn to identify the components of an oil and gas drilling rig, site preparation, drilling operations and procedures, well completion and transition procedures, servicing procedures, and how to plug and abandon a well.

The training emphasizes developing essential knowledge and skills to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control hazards commonly encountered in the onshore oil and gas exploration and production industry. Participants gain practical insights into maintaining a safe work environment while performing their daily tasks.

This course is applicable to all worksites associated with onshore oil and gas operations, including construction, drilling, completion, well servicing, production, product gathering and processing, and product transmission. It is intended for both employees and employers engaged in any phase of onshore oil and gas exploration and production, ensuring comprehensive safety awareness and compliance.
