Course Description
Our HAZWOPER Training Specialist (CHTS) course covers OSHA HAZWOPER standards, a review of chemistry and toxicology, identification of hazardous materials (HAZMATS), hazardous waste operations and emergency response, emergency incident command procedures, and practical hands-on exercises for students, leading to certification as a HAZWOPER Training Specialist (CHTS).
Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of OSHA HAZWOPER regulations (29 CFR 1910.120) and compliance requirements.
Develop and deliver effective HAZWOPER training programs for awareness, operations, and technician-level workers.
Conduct hazard assessments, exposure evaluations, and implement appropriate control measures.
Evaluate training effectiveness, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory record-keeping.
Requirements / Prerequisites
Potential Trainers must have 40 hours of initial training.
